Monique on the boat heading to Playa Grande

Front of the boat, heading to the estuary.

Being driven to our hotel. This is the only road in Playa Grande.

This is Farro Arriba, our room we stayed in.

Inside the top, our bedroom.

The view of the door to the terrace.

The view of the Pacific from the terrace.

Another view of the stairwell to the bedroom.

This is Playa Grande. This is the home of the Leatherback Turtles.

Feet in the sand. NICE.

Dreamy having an Imperial. We spent the next day in Tamarindo, right across the estuary. We had to take the boat back. Through the swamps to the beach. And there were crocodiles.

This is Tamarindo. Nothing here but beach town + surfers.

Looking for a way back to Hotel Las Tortugas.

This is our driver. He was crocked on Pilsen. I bought him 2 more for the road. Heh! Alligators and beer.

Monique.

Monique and I. Burnt to a crisp.

Another sketch.

Me.

Sunset from our room. We slept every day at 7:30pm.

A friend.

A sketch of my friend.

Crabs. They were everywhere.

A view of Playa Grande.

A drawing of the beach from my sketchbook.

Sunset + dreamy.

Close up of the edge of the beach. Volcanic rock.

Playa Grande.

Roads created by snails.

Sunset.

Some wild cat. he followed us to our dinner.

This is a hotel/bar on the beach where this guy sitting here is a pro surfer. The place was owned by a pro surfer too.
